SHIH TZU OR TIBETAN LION DOG.
Although scattered specimens of this breed have been known in England for some time, it was not until 1930 that the breed received serious attention in the U.K. Its first registration by the English Kennel Club took place in 1934. Mrs. W.D.S. Brownrigg, who was mainly responsible this important event, is the owner of the above charming specimens. Reprinted from Hutchinson's Dog Encyclopaedia (England, circa 1935).
