AT WORK.
Although often seen on the bench, the Old English Sheep-dogs are most excellent canine workers, and are frequently seen with the shepherds. They were at one time a favourite working breed and, according to legend, that is how and why they lost their tails. Their anchestor was a sheep-dog for work only.
