"A Keeshond" from Hutchinson's Dog Encyclopaedia (England, circa
1935)
The Keeshonden are an imported breed, originally introduced into England
as "Dutch Barge Dogs." These dogs are easy to rear and have a
most contented temperament. They require comparatively little exercise and
are adaptable for town or country life. As companions they would be hard
to beat. This excellent painting was specially execut3ed for Hutchinson's
Dog Encyclopaedia by Nina Scott-Langley.

A BOY WITH A LOAD OF MISCHIEF.
An artistic study of Master Gatacre, with two particularly nice personalities
from his mother's kennels. Of all the charming puppies in the world, Keeshonds
are second to none. Reprinted from Hutchinson's Dog Encyclopaedia (England,
circa 1935).
