"TWO GREAT BULLDOGS" from Hutchinson's Dog Encyclopaedia (England, circa 1935)
"Boomerang" and "Katerfelto," Mrs. L. Crabtree's Bulldogs, were born in 1893. Their sire was "King Orry," and so they represent a famous strain noted for their size, long skulls,
good turn up of under-jaw, and excellent lay back. This effective painting was specially made for Hutchinson's Popular and Illustrated Dog Encyclopaedia by F.T. Daws.
