Dog Publisher Seeks
Non-Fiction Dog Book Authors!

We are publishers of outstanding dog books (see Dog Books). We are seeking authors. We pay a 10% royalty on the basis of the realized sale price. We are particularly interested in doing breed-specific books, which is where we have found the best long-term market to be. We are primarily seeking non-fiction (true) books in ALL the different breeds.

Photos and illustrations should be included with the book - we do not have the budget for additional costs such as photos or illustration. We tend to favor books that contain a lot of photos and artwork, the history of the breed, discussion of good animal husbandry, breed problems and the breed ideal (the standard), and a contemporary overview of current dogs and breeders. We think a book should cover all aspects of possible participation (be it lure coursing or obedience, field work or showing in conformation, etc.) in the sport.

We will also entertain books that vary widely from what is described above (especially if they are breed-specific).

If you have any questions, please write or email to address below. If you have a book you would like us to consider, please send it along!

On most of our exisitng books there are no written contracts. However, for those authors desiring a written contract, here is our standard one:
